Job Title: CNC Machinist (Job Order ID 1BB6w, local candidates only, please)

Job Location: Benton Harbor, MI

Job Details:

Seeking CNC Machinists to work 2nd shift from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday through Thursday. Must be willing to work some Fridays and Saturdays as needed.

Experience with tooling changes and SPC as well as reading micrometers, calipers and blueprints is required.

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

  • Sets up and operates various machines within a work cell.

  • Plans and perform various operations involving close tolerances.

  • Works from blueprints, setup instructions, SPC charts, and route sheets to make quality parts using preset tooling.

  • Uses a wide range of precision gauges and measuring instruments to set up, operate and periodically check work.

  • Verifies and adjusts process to SPC requirements.

  • Is responsible for operating at prescribed performance levels consistent with quality.

  • Notifies Manager of defective material or faulty operations.

  • Aids in maintaining proper flow within the work cell and promote customer/supplier communications to aid in improved quality.

  • Must be a team player.

  • May be called upon to assist in the certification process.

  • Maintains normal, everyday upkeep of equipment to assure trouble free operation. Performs all other duties as requested.

REQUIREMENTS

  • CNC machine experience

  • Experience in reading blueprints

  • SPC knowledge

  • Experience with using measurement equipment

  • Good work habits are required, as is the ability to work well with others, a strong work ethic and demonstrated personal initiative.

  • Must have the ability to learn new procedures and train others.

  • Must be able to work well in a team environment while following agreed upon procedures.•

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS OR EQUIVALENCIES:

  • High School Diploma

  • Ability to operate a computer, fax machine, and other office equipment

  • At least one year related experience

Salary: $12.50
