Job Details:
Under the direction of the Branch Manager, the Assistant Branch
Manager provides a variety of member service functions and manages
the branch office in the absence of the Branch Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for the day to day operation of the office in
absence of branch manager
Accept the responsibility or reassignment in absence of a
branch manager
Provides general information on all credit union services
and policies
Open new accounts with members when needed (Membership, VISA,
Debit, CDs, IRAs, etc.)
Perform teller duties including balance teller terminal and
transactions daily
Act as loan officer (review and obtain information for loan
decisions, approve installment and home equity loans, loan documentation,
disbursement of funds, etc.)
Take applications for mortgage and home equity loans
Process renewals for CDs and IRAs
Performs numerous other duties such as researching problems/errors
assisting in completing forms (i.e. payroll deduction, stop payment)
check copies, ordering checks, and making account changes
Remains current on all credit union policies, procedures,
and services
Actively and enthusiastically cross sells credit union services
Perform all other related duties as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Graduate or GED Degree
Skills in handling money and aptitude for detail work
Must be able to communicate and understand members clearly
Must be professional and emotional maturity to cope with unusual
situations
Required to work Saturdays as scheduled
Previous credit union experience desired but not necessary
Good business skills including organizing, coordinating and
multi-tasking
Good phone etiquette
Good computer skills (Microsoft Office)
Salary: Depending on Experience
